-Sanctions can add something the person does not like
-Sanctions can remove something the person likes
Steps for Delivering Sanctions
Delivered immediately after behavior, consistently.
Appropriate sanction, related to behavior.
Use a warning cue for low level behaviors.
Once corrected, disapproval ends but sanction is maintained.
